Field Merchandising Manager – UK(Remote) – 12 months contract
Job Description
We are looking for a Reality Labs Field Merchandising Manager to work remotely. This person will be responsible for in store Merchandising planning, launching, communicating, executing, managing and reporting on our Wearables product demos in the EMEA market (specifically our partnership with Essilor Luxottica). This role plays an instrumental part in contributing to the vision for how we present ourselves in ensuring our customers can find, learn and experience products through physical retail. It is critical to have experience with merchandising within EMEA retailers.
The primary role of the RL Field Merchandising Manager is to ensure that all field merchandising components including fixtures, demo units, graphics and display technologies are operating and functioning properly, as well as maintained to standards. The role is execution oriented and is focused on planning, managing, and executing large new and existing programs and projects. The RL Field Merchandising Manager must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with constant change executing multiple projects, while working collaboratively and communicating clearly across teams such as channel marketing, operations, sales, analytics, and external vendors.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize large volumes of projects across thousands of retail doors, most with tight deadlines and extreme complexity, with guidance from the Field Merchandising Lead.
- Partner closely with internal and external key partners on a regular basis to align and drive impact and results with the utmost efficiency and accuracy while moving fast.
- Act as liaison between regional 3rd party labor agencies, fixture display companies, channel marketing managers, demo tech team, field sales, visual merchandising and Essilor Luxottica on any issues that come up in our retail partners.
- Manage 3rd party labor agencies to execute projects in brick-and-mortar retailers globally to ensure deliverables are met.
- Build highly detailed execution plans for a variety of initiatives across multiple product lines.
- Review instructions and execution for multiple projects simultaneously with a keen eye for detail.
- Understand display fixture production process and installation implementation processes to properly prepare workback schedules and deliverables to share cross functionally both internally and externally.
- Critical to understand various retailer 3rd party labor operations to drive best in class execution.
- Track field execution, including progress and results, and prepare reports for internal stakeholders.
- Analyze demo data, flag potential roadblocks and work with external partners to ensure in store demo compliance.
- W closely with the Field Merchandising Lead to ensure all 3rd party labor projects are to budget.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience on either the brand side of retail in-store merchandising or the vendor side of retail in-store merchandising.
- 5+ years of project management experience
- 3+ years of third-party labor management experience
- Proven ability to understand the unique operating conditions within each retailer and how that impacts the planning and executing of the initiatives for all product lines.
- Must have experience sharing program / project updates across broad teams and organizations – transparency is key within the Meta culture and the ability to communicate, clear + concise cross functionally.
- Extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail with ability to track and articulate the intricacies of complex fixture installations.
- Experience managing relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors.
- Must have experience partnering with external stakeholders.
- Excellent at finding the root cause of issues or gathering the necessary cross-functional members to find that cause or solution to an issue.
- Strong interpersonal skills, approachable and flexible.
- Experience with navigating various organizational environments where culture and structure vary.
- Excellent communicator, superb verbal, and written communication.
- Experience with Google G suite and Microsoft suite of software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Essilor Luxottica retail partners and their guidelines / processes.
- Experience in planning large-scale executions and installations from concept stage through prototype and production stages.
- Experience working in a highly cross-functional setting.
- Experience maintaining budgets and fiscal responsibility.
- Mobile Carrier and/or Specialty Retailer experience.
- Experience with in-store tech demos or tech in a retail setting.
