We’re hiring an experienced Clinical Development Director to join a global biopharmaceutical organization on a long-term contract. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role supporting global clinical programs in cardiovascular, metabolism, or neuroscience therapeutic areas.
About the Role
As a Clinical Development Director, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the clinical strategy across multiple trial phases (I–IV). You’ll work cross-functionally with medical, regulatory, data, and safety teams to ensure high-quality clinical execution and scientific integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead clinical development deliverables for assigned global programs or trials
- Develop and review clinical trial protocols, study reports, and regulatory documents
- Collaborate with data management and stats teams on data quality and interpretation
- Contribute to safety review activities and regulatory submissions
- Represent clinical development in interactions with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior clinical team members
- Support inspection readiness and contribute to scientific publications and presentations
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in a senior clinical development role (e.g., Clinical Development Director, CDMD, Clinical Program Director)
- 7+ years of experience in clinical research or drug development
- Strong background in cardiovascular, metabolism, or neuroscience therapeutic areas
- Proven experience in global clinical trial strategy, execution, and regulatory engagement
- Advanced degree in life sciences or healthcare field (PhD, PharmD, or MD preferred)
- Strong understanding of GCP, protocol design, data review, and safety oversight
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
