Business Analyst – International Payments
12-month Contract - London (Hybrid, 3 days)
We are hiring a Business Analyst Contractor to support the international payments business of a leading global technology company.
This is a hands‑on analytical role focused on business reporting, sales analytics, operational processes and process improvement. The successful candidate will take ownership of recurring reporting, analyse business performance, validate data, investigate anomalies and identify opportunities to simplify and automate repetitive processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own recurring business reporting and performance analytics.
- Prepare and refresh regular reporting materials.
- Perform data validation and quality checks.
- Investigate anomalies and understand underlying business drivers.
- Support ad-hoc analysis into business performance, trends and opportunities.
- Translate business questions into structured analytical approaches.
- Create clear charts, tables and analytical outputs for decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate processes.
- Communicate findings and progress clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Requirements
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong SQL experience
- Business / data analysis experience
- Reporting and performance analytics experience
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with process improvement / optimisation
- Strong attention to detail and data quality
- Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to business stakeholders
Experience in payments, fintech, financial services, digital commerce or other data-driven environments would be advantageous.
