We are currently partnering with a large multinational company to hire an experienced Manager – Accounts Payable & Financial Accounting to support their Europe & Middle East (EME) finance operations. This is an excellent opportunity for finance professionals with strong AP and financial accounting expertise who are looking to take the next step in a dynamic, international environment.
Reporting to the Financial Controller (EME), you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts payable and financial accounting across the region. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial processes while supporting broader finance objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee end-to-end accounts payable processes including invoice verification, coding, approvals, and payments
- Manage vendor relationships, onboarding, and issue resolution
- Maintain AP ledger and perform reconciliations to the general ledger
- Support month-end and year-end close (accruals, prepayments, reconciliations)
- Prepare monthly funding and cash flow requests
- Coordinate VAT return preparation with tax teams
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (UK GAAP), internal controls, and regulations
- Support audits by providing required documentation
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth financial operations
- 3–5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable & Financial Accounting
- Strong knowledge of AP processes, multi-entity & multi-currency environments
- Experience with month-end close, bank & GL reconciliations
- Knowledge of VAT treatment and return preparation
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Corcentric) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Familiarity with AI-driven finance tools is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is a plus
