Job Description

Are you looking for the next step in your HSE career?Do you have either manufacturing or industrial experience?Do you currently hold an IOSH with experience or a Nebosh?Our client are looking for someone who can shadow the current HSE Manager at a historical site which is over 100 years old. Whilst offered great career learning opportunity or a role for an experience person happy to sit at this level.Reporting to the Environmental, Health & Safety Manager you will be interacting with all site operations, the role involves: -• Liaising with management on EHS issues such as preventative measures, corrective actions and compliance with site safety policies & procedures.• Taking part in and carrying out accident, incident and near miss investigations• Following up site incidents as and when they occur• Assisting workplace inspections and audits• Reviewing & updating Quality & Environmental and Health & Safety Management System records• Reviewing and monitoring data to assist site regulatory compliance• Conducting Risk Assessments including DSE, COSHH and PUWER• Providing Environmental, Health & Safety support to site to ensure that site standards are met and maintained• Assisting in improvement activities to drive a culture of continuous improvement• Assisting in the delivery of Health & Safety training to employees• Contributing to the planning of emergency response drills (internally & externally)• Managing inspections of firefighting and detection systems• Monitoring the site for hazards The ideal candidate must have:• Experience in a similar role preferably in an industrial/manufacturing environment/process• Be self-motivated with initiative, confidence and good communication skills• A NEBOSH qualification is highly desirable but not necessarily essential, training could be provided for the right candidate with an IOSH• Be competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.) Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
