We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Digital Building Engineer (Controls & BMS) to join a leading global consultancy business. This pivotal position will allow you to play a significant role in enhancing the built environment across various sectors, including Commercial, Residential, Hotel, Retail, Industrial, Laboratories, and Data Centres. It will offer you the chance to work with a variety of prestigious clients, providing them with professional advice and support throughout the full project life-cycle.
The Role
- You will become a vital part of our client's Digital Building team, gathering requirements from stakeholders, developing design and engineering solutions, and collaborating with a dynamic group of professionals to innovate the building landscape.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and understand client problems and opportunities to determine desired outcomes.
- Develop design and engineering requirements for smart building installations of varying complexity.
- Coordinate smart building and controls design with other building services disciplines and external parties.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations, conveying complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
- Ensure adherence to the Quality System on projects and take part in personal and professional development training.
- Act as a trusted advisor in all aspects of BMS and Smart Building design and solutions.
- Prepare and deliver blue sky aspirational workshops with clients and key stakeholders.
- Ability to support marketing and business development activities.
The Person
- Our client is looking for a confident, professional engineer with a passion for Smart Building Engineering and the ambition to become a market leading expert in their field.
- Suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate a relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, combined with equivalent training, accreditation, and at least three years of industry experience in BMS, controls, or Smart Buildings.
- Demonstrable experience in engineering building controls or integration, writing specifications, and drafting technical reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and technical teams, ensuring concepts are understood across varying levels of expertise.
- Proficiency with BMS systems knowledge and familiarity with Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
