Russell Taylor Group are looking for a technically minded Certification Scientist to assess and certify material products and systems, including coatings & waterproof materials.
The role will involve managing multiple projects, investigate product performance, and producing accurate, well-structured technical reports.

Responsibilities
• Plan and scope assessments to ensure they are realistic, technically sound, and completed on schedule.
• Oversee all stages of product evaluations, securing the necessary data and information for progress.
• Investigate and analyse product performance to determine suitability for purpose.
• Produce, review, and finalise accurate technical reports and certification documentation.
• Maintain issued certificates through regular review of surveillance reports and related updates.
• Liaise with clients regularly, providing updates and resolving technical queries.
• Maintain effective communication with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Attend client meetings and proactively address any concerns related to products or systems under assessment.
• Keep up to date with relevant legislation, standards, and regulations.
The Person
• Educated in ideally a scientific material related subject.
• Strong technical knowledge of material products.
• Understanding of regulations, standards, and industry practices.
• Excellent planning, organisation, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with clients.
