The Role:

  • Review labelling on food products against regulation and customer policies.
  • Liaise with German-speaking customers and explain labelling decisions and food laws and how to get this right.
  • Challenge due diligence and compliance when required.
  • Provide advice for regulatory and technical enquiries.
  • Apply technical knowledge in areas including practice, policies, and guidance.
  • Formulation review.
  • Specification and pack copy review.
  • Alignment check (PLV/PAC/CTS/RSR).

The Person:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in Food Law or regulatory subject.
  • Must be fluent in German due to the nature of the role. You must be articulate in written and oral communication.
  • Good understanding of legal requirements and consumer trends.
  • Some experience of working in a similar role and have experience with regulatory adaptations and any relevant changes due to new laws etc.
  • Able to work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Confident to share knowledge and experience with customers and internal colleagues.
  • Experience of risk-based decision making.
