Shift: 4 on 4 off shift (12-hour days)

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Russell Taylor is looking for two Multiskilled Shift Engineers to keep our client's production lines running at peak efficiency. You will handle maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvements across automated process, packaging, and auxiliary equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance on plant and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Install, commission, and maintain plant and facilities.
  • Support production with line adjustments and breakdowns.
  • Identify and implement improvements to reduce downtime.
  • Train colleagues and work safely across the site.

The Person

  • Engineering qualification (HNC/NVQ Level 3) in electrical, mechanical, or multiskilled discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in automated manufacturing, ideally FMCG or food production.
  • Knowledge of packaging and palletisation systems, AC/servo drives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Safety-focused team player.
