Role: – Laboratory Analyst – Analytical Chemistry Location: – Wirral- onsite full time Salary: – Up to £29,000 p/a, annual company bonus, 25 days holiday plus bank holiday plus 1 day extra after every 3 completed years (up to 30 days), Flexible working options with career development, Pension (8% employer contributions), Private Medical insurance, Life assurance & income protection (or cash equivalents) & fantastic working environment. Russell Taylor Group has TWO fantastic opportunities for analytical lab analysts to join our client\’s testing facility in the Wirral area. The company are going through growth due to winning a new contract so it\’s a fantastic time to join them on their journey. For this role they do require you to have experience of analytical chemistry in ideally an ISO 17025 laboratory setting. Responsibilities • Perform a range of analytical chemistry techniques on insulating fluids. • Conduct day-to-day analysis prescribed by the line manager in line with the LIMS. • Preview and analyse data, then enter data into the LIMS and report any abnormalities to the Laboratory Supervisor. • Responsible for own station and processing all calibration and quality control processes- check standard analysis, reporting of calibration and check standard failures. • Completion of Shewhart Charts with all of the quality check and calibration information. • Double check results and make the decision of whether to re-run samples. • Suggest updates for SOPS and documentation following changes in procedure for review and approval in accordance with the QMS. The Person • Educated to degree level or equivalent in chemistry related field. • Previous industrial experience in a laboratory (ideally ISO 17025 regulated) with an analytical chemistry background. • Understanding of HV electrical assets would be desirable but not essential. • Ability to follow procedure and instructions. • Excellent IT skills- MS Word & excel predominantly. • Ability to solve problems • Ability to maximise laboratory outputs Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
