As part of the next step in our journey due to significant further contract wins, we are looking to employ an additional Design Engineer / Draughtsperson to work out of the Head Office and under the lead of the Projects / Design Director who is based off site. You will have an active role in reviewing and developing the company's design processes, working in a dynamic environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Working with the Design Manager and projects team, the successful candidate will develop detailed layout drawings for the company's products.
- Conversion of customer's requirements into route drawings using Revit, CAD.
- Working with Revit models and using Autodesk docs for file sharing.
- Coordinating with customers, colleagues, factory staff and installation contractors.
- Some site-based survey work.
- Maintaining up-to-date records of work on projects, in accordance with the company QA procedures.
- Liaising with the Engineering Department to implement a customer-focused delivery excellence from inception to completion.
- Full Product training will be given.
Core Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD (Inventor and Revit experience are highly desirable).
- A working knowledge of electrical and building/construction systems.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
