We are seeking Class 1 HGV drivers across Day shifts and Night shifts for our client based in Pontefract. You will be required to complete the transportation of stock to distribution centres across the UK!
Duties:
- Operate Class 1 HGV in a safe manner
- Transport stock to designated distribution centres across the UK
- 2-3 store deliveries per shift on days
- Comply with all relevant health and safety standards
- Complete pre and post shift vehicle checks
- Communicate effectively
Shift & Pay:
You will be required to work either Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday. Additional OT shifts will also be available.
- DAYS: 04:00AM-10:00AM start times Monday to Friday £17.36, Saturday £20.36, Sunday £22.91
- NIGHTS: 10:30AM - 19:30PM Start times Sunday to Thursday £20.36, Friday Night £22.91, Saturday Night £25.91
NIGHT RATES ARE PAID BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 22:00PM AND 06:00AM. OT PAID AFTER 45 HOURS AT x1.3. HOLIDAYS CAN ALSO BE ROLLED UP.
Skills:
- Possess a valid CE Class 1 HGV licence
- 1 year Valid CPC and tachograph
- No more than 6 points for MINOR offences
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Strong communication and customer service skills
