HGV Class 2 Night Driver

Job description

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Class 2 HGV Night Driver to join our team for our Client in Batley. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering various food products to customers across the country in a refrigerated trailer.

Duties:

• Driving a class 2 vehicle in a safe manner
• Transport goods over local to medium distances
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving – Keep a Log of POD's

Pay and Shifts:

• 4 on 4 off shift pattern

• 1500-2000 start times – Min 8 hours per shift

Qualifications:

• 2+ Year Class 2 HGV CAT C
• Valid CPC and Tachograph Card
• Extensive knowledge of applicable HGV driving rules and regulations
• No more than 6 points for MINOR offences – None of the following can be accepted: DD,DG,IN,CD,TT.
• Good customer service skills as you will be customer facing at the point of delivery
• Able to carry out manual handling
