HGV Class 1 Driver in Bradford

Russell Taylor are seeking additional class 1 drivers to work for a client based in Bradford.
The role will involve a mixture of a small number of drops and trunk work to various depots throughout England.

We are currently looking for both Day and Night drivers working Monday to Friday.

Days: £15.75 p/h

Nights: £16.75 p/h

Start times are between 0400-0800 for days and 1600-2000 for nights.

Duties

• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
• Communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered during deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

• HGV Class 1 licence with at least 2 years experience (for insurance purposes)
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for driving large vehicles.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service.
