Class 1 Yard Shunter

Russell Taylor are seeking a Class 1 night shunter for a client based in Morley, Leeds. This is a part-time role working 2 nights per week (Sun & Mon) starting at 2330 with shifts lasting 8-10 hours.

The role will involve moving trailers on and off bays as well as organising the yard for the next day.

The pay for this role is £17.90 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Conduct checks on trailers for any damage and report this to the line manager.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to transportation and safety.

Experience

• A valid commercial driving licence is required.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
