Vacancy Description: Private Law Solicitor – Family Dept.

Location: Newport Street, Bolton Office

Hours: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm – Monday to Friday (1 Hour Lunch)

Salary: Negotiable depending upon experience.

We have a vacancy for a Private Law solicitor who can run a mixed caseload of private family law files, including divorce/finance, children and domestic violence files to work in our busy family department based at our Newport Street, Bolton office.

The position will involve travel to courts and other offices therefore candidate must have a car available for work use.

Ongoing training, guidance and support from the team is provided.

Duties

Working within a busy office with a friendly team of people, you will be expected to carry out the following duties:

• Run own private caseload
• Capability of undertaking a mix of Legal Aid & Private Family work in all areas
• Ability to use CCMS and have a sound understanding of legal aid criteria
• Willingness to conduct own advocacy

Skills Required

• Experience in private law
• Good organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail (accuracy essential)
• Good communication skills
• Good IT skills
• Ability to work well within a team
• Friendly and professional manner
