Location: Russell Publishing operates a hybrid working policy, with the ability to work from home up to 3 days per week. Our office is in Brasted, Kent.
Summary: Russell Publishing has an exciting new role for a Digital Marketing Manager to join the team and lead the transformation of our digital presence across all brands. The role will focus on optimizing our websites as high-conversion tools, driving new membership registrations, and managing all aspects of digital marketing, audience development and audience engagement. This is a strategic position, providing insights into digital user journeys to enhance engagement, conversion, and overall business growth.
The ideal applicant will have 5 years of experience in Digital Marketing and driving conversion with digital marketing techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute digital marketing strategies across all Russell Publishing brands and all digital marketing channels including website, social media, digital display, SEO, SEM and PPC.
- Use digital strategies and tactics to increase web traffic and session duration.
- Transform websites into high-conversion platforms, optimising user experience and journey for maximum conversion and engagement.
- Drive new membership registrations through targeted campaigns, landing pages, and conversion-focused content.
- Oversee all digital marketing channels including email, social media, SEO/SEM, paid advertising, and marketing automation.
- Monitor and analyse digital performance metrics, using insights to refine strategies and optimise conversion.
- Collaborate with the content team and other departments to support content planning, engagement, and promotion.
- Creating and managing marketing campaign budgets.
- Forecasting digital growth metrics and setting targets.
- Collaborating with sales teams and the marketing delivery team to improve marketing results.
- Provide reports, intelligence and actionable insights on digital user behaviour, journey mapping, and audience engagement.
- Keep abreast of digital trends, tools, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Create and own digital marketing best practice guides and ensure the rest of the business adheres to these.
Key Skills / Requirements:
- 5 years’ experience in digital marketing, preferably in B2B publishing or media.
- Strong understanding of digital user journeys, conversion optimization, and analytics.
- Experience with website management and transformation projects aimed at driving conversions.
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and marketing automation platforms.
- Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working across multiple brands or industry sectors.
- Knowledge of membership-based business models.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and CRM platforms.
- Highly proficient in applied marketing techniques with sound knowledge of latest marketing systems and technology.
