We are looking for a full-time Crane Engineer, located at our Coatbridge site, Glasgow. The Crane Engineer will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing overhead RMG (Rail Mounted Gantry) cranes. The role involves ensuring all equipment complies with safety regulations and operating standards. The candidate will also need to perform diagnostics, manage heavy equipment, and carry out routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance. Additional responsibilities include maintaining detailed service records and collaborating with other team members to address equipment issues. The successful candidate would be working a 4 on 4 off rotation, rotating between dayshift and nightshift.
Requirements:
- Time Served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline.
- Experience with Lifting Equipment and Cranes.
- Skills in Heavy Equipment operation.
- Proficiency in Inspection, Maintenance & Repair.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to adhere to safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Competent in the inspection of lifting equipment in accordance with LOLER / PUWER.
- Ability to work on own initiative and assist other team members when required.
- Ability to work at height.
- Relevant technical certification or diploma in crane engineering is desirable.
- Driving license is desirable but not essential.
