Role Summary

We seek a candidate with a track record of sustainable investing and deep fluency with data and quantitative methods. This role requires an individual who can combine quantitative rigor, sustainability domain expertise, and modern data/AI fluency to evolve how sustainability insights are integrated into investment research, portfolio construction, client solutions, and firmwide analytics workflows. While the role sits in the Systematic Equity (SE) Team, projects will span equities, fixed income and alternative assets in collaboration with subject matter experts on our investment teams around the world.

The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:

  • Serving as a strategic lead for sustainability-related data and analytics, including vendor evaluation, data architecture considerations, governance, integration into investment workflows and scalability across teams and asset classes.
  • Empirically assessing impact of climate-related factors on investment portfolios.
  • Developing new and effective methods for communicating these assessments to our clients.
  • Evolving our process to systematically manage emerging factors. This includes the management of frameworks to support clients’ Net Zero alignment objectives.
  • Leading firmwide effort to streamline management of client exclusions lists – this will involve working with various stakeholders throughout the firm and understanding of desired data architecture and analytics.
  • Translating complex quantitative and sustainability-related insights into clear, actionable narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clients.
  • Identifying and evaluating opportunities to leverage AI, advanced analytics and automation to enhance sustainability research workflows, data management, investment insights and client reporting capabilities.
  • Active role in the Systematic Equity Team workflow with a specific emphasis on data, analytics and the intersection of sustainability information, portfolio construction and traditional alpha ideas.

The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:

  • Significant experience in quantitative investing.
  • Strong subject matter knowledge of sustainability investment concepts and data sets.
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field or environmental science preferred (e.g. finance, economics, statistics, environment science, or other quantitative discipline).
  • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) plus work experience or certifications also considered.
  • Certifications such as CFA or equivalent a plus.
  • Prior work experience in one or more of the following a plus: quantitative asset management, financial modelling, programming (Python, SQL), AI (AI workflow, NLP).
  • Intellectual curiosity and demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and apply emerging technologies, data sources, and analytical approaches.
  • Product and innovation mindset with comfort iterating on new ideas, workflows, and research frameworks in ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment across investment, technology, research, and client teams.
  • Strong judgment in balancing methodological rigor, scalability, and practical business application.
