Job Description:

Role Summary:

The purpose of this position is to work with the Client Service Team (part of the wider EMEA Client Team), providing client service to our clients and supporting our relationship management team to help us grow and retain assets.

The role supports clients through their whole life cycle with Russell Investments. This includes helping to win, as well as onboard, new business clients. The role involves providing first class support to clients and intermediaries either directly or via the EMEA offices.

Key elements of the role will include:

  • Supporting the onboarding of EMEA FM and OCIO clients.

  • Escalating and managing situations to ensure an efficient process.

  • Assisting with the smooth running of the daily process to enable the review of the clients\’ funding level and portfolio composition against the mandate objectives and benchmarks for FM and OCIO clients.

  • Responding to both internal and external queries in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Compiling, checking and distributing both ad-hoc and regular client reporting and audit requests ensuring both accuracy and timeliness.

  • Participating in projects to enhance the efficiency of the operating model.

The position supports our Fiduciary Management and OCIO clients, as well as our Asset Management clients (Institutional and Retail), in the EMEA region.

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract, expected to start in November 2025.

The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:

Client Onboarding

  • Supporting and assisting in the project management for the onboarding of FM/OCIO clients as required.

  • Providing a central point of contact for the client and the business.

  • Ensuring clear communication with relevant parties and guaranteeing all documentation is received for account set up (including AML).

  • Assisting in compiling information for Anti-Money Laundering checks as required.

  • Supporting the regional offices with the onboarding of EMEA clients and distribution relationships.

  • Ensuring an awareness of prospects, new clients and investors.

  • Working with the EMEA Sales and Relationship Teams where required to ensure that the Client Service Team can service their ongoing requirements in a structured and scalable manner.

Client Retention

  • Responding to internal and external queries via the group inbox providing both operational support, information, and data.

  • Supporting the daily implementation of the processes surrounding FM/OCIO clients, including the processing of cashflow and investment instructions.

  • Assisting with the creation and delivery of periodic reports, liaising with internal teams for follow up and approval as necessary.

  • Responding to audit requests for existing clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Supporting the team with periodic checks including rebates and invoices.

  • Consulting with internal teams to resolve any queries as required.

Internal Business Support

  • Contributing to the development and improvement of processes that support client requirements across EMEA GTM.

  • Participating in projects that support new business initiatives, regulatory and product changes.

The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:

  • Candidates who are studying or intending to study for IMC or CFA (or other finance related professional qualifications) will be preferred.

  • Relevant BSC/BA, or equivalent qualification / experience.

  • Experience of working with institutional clients and distribution relationships in the EMEA Region.

  • Working knowledge of the asset management industry and investment products.

  • Previous experience in a client focused role in the Financial Service Industry.

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent administrative, problem solving, project managing and decision-making skills.

  • Communicates effectively and knowledgeably with colleagues, clients, intermediaries, and service providers.

  • Responds to requests in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.

  • Highly polished verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of the pensions industry in the UK including a broad understanding of the objectives, operations and regulatory environment.

  • Shows a genuine interest in, and commitment to, gaining relevant knowledge, skills and experience in commercial markets.

  • Good knowledge and understanding of major asset classes

  • Highly resourceful and collaborative team-player, with the ability to also be independently effective and exude initiative and a sense of urgency.

  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

  • Good organisational skills including the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and meet frequent deadlines.

  • Demonstrates proactive approach to problem-solving with strong judgment and decision-making capability.
