The Role
Russell-Cooke is seeking a talented and ambitious Associate with approximately 2 to 4 years PQE to join our highly regarded Children Law team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with experience in children law to develop their career within a leading and supportive practice. Our team is recognised for its expertise across a broad range of complex and rewarding work, acting for children, parents, family members and other parties in both public and private law proceedings.
The successful candidate will manage their own caseload while also working closely with Partners and senior lawyers in the team. You will be encouraged to develop your advocacy skills, build strong client relationships and play an active role in the continued growth of the team.
About you
You will have experience in both public and private children law and be confident managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision.
We are particularly interested in candidates who:
- Have strong technical knowledge of children law.
- Enjoy advocacy and representing clients at court.
- Are able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate excellent client care and communication skills.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team while taking ownership of their own matters.
- Have a enthusiasm for business development and building professional relationships, which includes attending events on behalf of the firm.
Experience of international children law, modern family matters or a desire to develop expertise in these areas would be advantageous.
