- Support on routine and opportunity focused firm-wide BD initiatives and projects for specific departments and involving collaboration with multiple departments at once.
- Lead routine and opportunistic/pro-active research projects, aimed at targeting clients and providing an infrastructure for the firm and individuals/teams to win work.
- Acting as a gateway between the lawyers and the wider marketing and business development team, helping the firm understand effective marketing and business development is and who in the team supports on what.
- To support on targeted events and mailings where needed, focused on reaching the right audiences in the right way and on event execution geared towards winning work.
Technical skills and expertise:
- Experience working in or with a business development and marketing department, preferably within professional services.
- Experience working on client facing documents, ideally proposals and work winning opportunities with clients.
- Energy and an appetite for working with a range of stakeholders in different areas of the business.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfort with challenge, working towards being considered ‘the expert’ on BD and a point person to stakeholders across different levels of seniority around best practice and skills.
- A team player, with an interest in all areas of marketing and business development.
- Ambition, to come into a relatively new team and make a positive impact.
