We are expanding and looking for enthusiastic lawyers to join our growing dispute resolution team. The ideal candidates will likely be 1-4 PQE with previous experience in one or more of our specialist areas – we would particularly welcome applicants with solid experience of commercial litigation, civil fraud, insolvency, construction disputes, professional negligence, regulatory investigations, public law and/or reputation management. The successful individuals can be based in the firm’s Bedford Row or Putney offices. The firm is also committed to flexible working arrangements.

Technical skills and expertise: We seek energetic lawyers with good attention to detail and a record of providing proactive, commercially astute advice. At 1-4 PQE you will have a varied caseload, assisting the team with larger cases, plus managing and progressing files in your own name, with close supervision and support from more experienced team members.

The Role: Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Analysing cases to identify strengths, weaknesses and alternative solutions;
  • Considering various litigation funding options, including Conditional Funding Agreements, as well as working with litigation funders and ATE providers;
  • Drafting correspondence, witness statements and applications;
  • Instructing counsel;
  • Negotiating and exploring Alternative Dispute Resolution as appropriate;
  • Researching and drafting advice;
  • Proactively managing a mixed caseload of work to manage client expectations, maintain momentum and ensure sustainable financial performance;
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients by repeatedly delivering effective results as part of a close team;
  • Business development activities internally and externally to raise the profile of the team.
