About the Role
We’re looking for a Collection Merchandiser to join our Head Office in Central London. You will be responsible for helping define the collection architecture of the season based on the overall strategic goals of the brand, factoring in key elements such as past season performance, trends in the market and strategically identified opportunities to diversify and grow sales. Based on this seasonal plan you will guide and shape the collection from the very beginning of the season, following through to how that product lives in the market. Collection merchandising drives the commercial and strategic objectives of the brand by working collaboratively with the relevant teams to deliver the collection.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Collection Strategy to create the seasonal Collection Plan (product assortment, price positioning overview and working range grid) at the opening of the season
- Work with Trade Merchandising to define clear pricing architecture and margin targets across categories
- Meet regularly with design and product development throughout the season to feedback on assortment, price positioning and margin, working collaboratively to define a working product assortment
- Help identify key styles for both image and volume driving and contribute to defining store grading and delivery phasing
- Support on creating education packs for retail training
- Support on Retail training
- Work closely with all channels to report customer feedback
- Build product assortment proposals for SMU (store specific assortments, collabs etc, special projects)
- Support on creating and owning the end of season final ‘range plan’
About You
- Minimum 7 years’ experience within Buying/Merchandising
- Experience in Collection/Product Merchandising would be preferred
- A degree in a relevant field ideally a business or fashion degree
- Broad knowledge of the fashion landscape, with a focus on footwear & accessory competitor brands
- Strategic thinking and the ability to form action-based conclusions from data
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent PC skills (excel and PowerPoint)
- Good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
