Interim Integration Director - Private Equity
Our client is a growing technology-enabled group providing solutions to the logistics and supply chain sector. The Group has expanded through organic growth and acquisition.
They now require an experienced Interim Integration Director to lead the integration programme, unlock synergies across the acquired businesses and ensure the Group realises the anticipated value from its M&A activity.
The assignment is expected to last up to 12 months.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the integration programme for the new acquisition and wider Group.
- Identify and deliver operational synergies, efficiencies and value across the combined businesses.
- Integrate and optimise people, organisational structures, processes and systems.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and standardise ways of working across the Group.
- Work closely with the existing technology team to ensure technology and systems support the integration programme.
- Define and manage cross-functional integration workstreams using existing management resources.
- Establish clear priorities, milestones and measures of success, ensuring the programme maintains pace and delivers tangible results.
- Manage key stakeholders across the acquired businesses and Group leadership team.
The Desired Candidate
A highly experienced Interim Integration Director - perhaps a former COO and track record of business transformation - with a strong track record of successfully delivering multiple post-acquisition integrations.
The successful candidate should have:
- Extensive M&A and post-merger integration experience, with clear examples of delivering synergies and value.
- A strong operational background, with experience integrating people, processes, systems and organisational structures.
- Experience of technology or technology-enabled businesses; direct transport or logistics experience is not essential.
- The ability to understand the role of technology in integration and work effectively with strong internal technology teams.
- Strong programme management and execution skills, with the ability to turn acquisition plans into tangible results.
- Excellent stakeholder and change management skills, particularly when bringing together different businesses and cultures.
- A hands-on, pragmatic style with the pace and authority to get things done.
Private Equity or other investor-backed experience would be advantageous.
