Our client is the British division of a global manufacturer and distributor of safety, access, and storage equipment for industrial, construction, and automotive professionals. They have about 200 UK staff between two sites – Midlands and South East. They urgently need an Interim Senior HR professional to bring stability at UK exec level during a sensitive time of sick leave. It is a full‑time role starting immediately for 3 to 6 months – ideally based near Derby but with flexibility. Outside IR35 status likely. Day rate and other aspects to be discussed with interested interim candidates.

The role will involve bringing instant stability to the HR function in the UK; working closely with both the UK general manager and the EMEA VP of HR. Though it is quite a hands‑on / tactical role (involving providing leadership cover) it is more than this and will provide the opportunity to bring in a fresh set of eyes to review the UK operations and make suggestions for long‑term improvement.

The Desired Candidate

  • 10-15 years HR leadership experience and ideally CIPD qualified
  • Experience in manufacturing environments preferred – warehouse operations, plants etc.
  • Credible with the leadership team and experience handling complexity – able to add value at c‑suite level
  • Highly analytical with a demonstrated ability to manage data and metrics to support performance
  • Experience working in multi‑national/global matrix type structures would be useful
