Interim Project Manager

We’re looking for a hands-on Interim Project Manager to join an established purpose-driven organisation as it prepares to launch its 2025 proposition. This is a crucial short-term engagement (approx. 6 months) to help bring clarity, coordination and control to a complex cross-functional environment.

Our Client

Our client is a respected not-for-profit that provides global environmental disclosure systems for companies, cities, states, and governments. Their software platform enables organisations to input key sustainability data—covering climate, water, forestry, and more—and generates insights that help inform environmental impact, policy, and reporting.

About the Role

This is not a traditional PMO or strategic planning role. We’re looking for someone who thrives on rolling up their sleeves and making things happen.

The business is gearing up for a key annual launch and needs a strong central figure to coordinate and align multiple workstreams—including product development, legal, compliance, sales, marketing, and technology. You\’ll be the go-to person for making sure deliverables are understood, timelines are realistic, and teams are working towards the same goals.

The foundations are in place, but fragmented. You’ll bring structure, consistency and energy to unify the moving parts—and help ensure everything lands on time and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Bring together pockets of work from across departments into a single integrated delivery plan.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks—ensuring they’re visible, understood, and addressed early.
• Act as the central point of contact for delivery-related updates, progress, and blockers.
• “Hold up the mirror” to show where misalignment exists, encouraging departments to collaborate more effectively.
• Keep everyone on track through consistent, positive communication—never afraid to chase or nudge where needed.
• Maintain a central view of tasks, timelines, and issues to ensure leadership has clear visibility.

About You

• You’re a practical, delivery-focused project manager who knows how to corral moving parts and make complex things happen smoothly.
• You’re confident, approachable, and not afraid to pick up the phone to chase what’s needed.
• You understand the ripple effect—how delays in one team impact others—and you’re able to communicate that diplomatically and effectively.
• You’ve likely worked in a business undergoing transformation, where old processes have gone and new ones aren’t yet bedded in.
• Experience working in a PMO or coordinating across multiple functions would be valuable.
• You\’re used to being parachuted in, quickly getting up to speed, and adding value from week one.
