Our client is a small, growth Fintech lending business that seeks an experienced Fractional CFO to work closely with the Board and CEO. This is a hands-on, leadership role within a resource-constrained, entrepreneurial environment, requiring an individual who can operate strategically whilst remaining closely involved in day-to-day financial operations.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the business through its next phase of growth, assisting Board members in developing a strategic partnership strengthening the company’s balance sheet, maintaining financial controls, and providing strategic, financial leadership and insight to help steer the organisation.

Immediate start ideally – by end June 2026. Flexible engagement structure considered. Significant opportunity to influence the future direction and growth of the business. Potential for permanent appointment, including longer term equity participation.

The Desired Candidate
  • Proven Finance Director or CFO-level experience within financial services, lending, specialty finance, fintech, or similar environments – ideally fintech or challenging banking environments (regulated FS).
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex balance sheets.
  • Experience working directly with Boards and senior stakeholders. A highly collaborative working approach is important.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence strategic decision-making.
  • Ideally previous involvement in strategic partnerships, funding partnerships, or institutional lender relationships.
  • Experience leading and developing small finance teams in high-growth or resource-constrained businesses.
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on capacity where strategic and operational responsibilities sit side-by-side.
  • Successful track record of fundraising for privately owned businesses, including debt and/or equity capital raises.
