Residential Manager
Salary: £35,619 to £36,896
Salary includes a £1500 market supplement: £37,119 to £38,396
40 Hours per week, 52 weeks per year
The residential manager is a member of the residential team, you will work in a flexible and collaborative manner with the College Management Team as required.
You will be responsible for overseeing and supervising an allocated group of residential staff. You will work directly with the residential staff to ensure the delivery of an appropriate extended curriculum programme to the students within the residential provision.
The post holder will need to be able work flexibly over the 7-day period. Working both on the college site and across the team houses based in Sheffield
Main Duties:
- To ensure the delivery of a high-quality residential provision for college students. Supporting the operation of the department alongside the Head of College – Residential
- To line manager a group of allocated staff, completing annual reviews, supervisions, debriefs and record of conversations when required
- To monitor and record the compliance of the residential homes in line with the CQC and Trust frameworks.
- To be part of the duty manager on-call rota, working both weekends and evening
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) at level 4 or above, or be committed to working towards level 5
- Experience of working with young people with complex needs, learning difficulties and disabilities
- Experience and understanding of the demands of working in an environment enclosing a diverse range of young people with varying complex needs
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with an innate ability to bond with and gain the trust of young people and a team of staff
