Join Ruskin Mill College, Ruskin Mill Trust, as part of the daytime support team focusing on the holistic needs of students. This rewarding role involves supporting young people to engage in timetabled sessions in a safe and appropriate way.

Position Details

  • 40 hours per week, 37 weeks per year (term time only)
  • Salary Range (FTE): £23,886 per annum, subject to qualifications
  • Actual Salary for 40 hours and 37 weeks: £19,493
  • Potential to earn up to £24,120 (FTE) after completing relevant RMT courses and increasing length of service
  • Applicants who apply directly will receive a Welcome Bonus of £1500 (subject to Tax/NI) after successful completion of a 6-month probation period

Candidate Requirements

  • A strong desire to support young people
  • Excellent observational skills, creative problem-solving abilities
  • Patience, caring, and compassion with a young person-centered approach
  • Ability to manage emotionally challenging situations with resilience and react calmly under stress
  • Team player with support work experience in educational and residential settings
  • NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
