Grace Garden School is seeking to appoint a Student Engagement Manager to lead behaviour and engagement strategies across our unique, therapeutic education setting. You’ll play a key role in shaping a positive, supportive environment for our students, while also acting as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

This is a hands-on, proactive role working closely with staff, students, families and external professionals. You’ll support incident management, guide staff practice, and help ensure our safeguarding and engagement approaches are robust, consistent and aligned with the Trust’s values.

Main Duties:
  • Lead on developing and embedding behaviour management and student engagement strategies across the school, ensuring consistent and effective practice.
  • Take a proactive approach to incident management, support staff, and ensure accurate reporting to relevant parties including parents, Principal and Local Authority.
  • Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, responding to concerns promptly and supporting good safeguarding practice for children and young people.
  • Lead on staff support and development, ensuring Teaching Assistants and other staff receive training, coaching and guidance on behaviour, engagement and risk management.
