Ruskin House Nursery Room Leader | Permanent, Year-Round Role

Salary: Up to £33,495 DOE (FTE – pro rata for part‑time hours)

Opening Hours: 7am to 7pm, Mon–Fri

Location: London (SE24)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the room team and daily activities.
  • Oversee observations, assessments and planning.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, high‑quality environment.
  • Build positive relationships with children and families.

What You Need:

  • Level 3+ Early Years qualification (DfE‑approved).
  • Strong EYFS and safeguarding knowledge.
  • Experience leading a room or mentoring staff.
  • Confident communicator with a warm, positive approach.

Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, as all new staff will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance, identity checks, qualification checks and employment checks to include an exploration of any gaps within employment, two satisfactory references and registration with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
