We are looking for 3 Paralegals to join our Legal Services Team and to help across the organisation.

Location: Hybrid Working. This vacancy is a fixed term contract until March 31st 2028, with a salary of £27,254 and 37 working hours per week. This is a full-time role within the Legal job category. The Council Office is based at Farnborough Road, Farnborough, Hampshire.

The role supports multiple service areas including Housing, Property, HR / People Team, and other departments as part of the Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) programme. You must be able to get on with people, understand their needs, and help the council fulfil its ambitions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide legal and administrative support across the organisation, including drafting and interpreting property documents and assisting with reviewing contracts.
  • Support the lawyers including the Deputy Head and Head of Legal Services and the Data Protection Officer, and spend time in other departments as needed.
  • Assist with research and drafting for various assignments, including FOIA enquiries for Housing.
  • Contribute to the unitary council transformation programme and cross-service workstreams to enable a safe and legal LGR.
  • Collaborate with officers across service areas to deliver timely, accurate legal support.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Recent graduates with either a law degree or conversion course.
  • Willingness to learn, high energy, and enthusiasm for a busy, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with a focus on personal development and a non-hierarchical team culture.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders across Housing, Property, HR and other departments.
