About the role
To support the engineering teams with technical and analytical training and practical on-job repair and maintenance training and support. As required, stand in for the workshop managers for sickness and holiday.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Create and manage a skills matrix for the GSE workforce and drive to improve the skills base at all locations.
- Conduct training classes in both theory and practical elements of GSE repair and maintenance, whilst also supporting workshop staff with technical advice and training.
- Procuring and overseeing contracts and service providers for functions such as cleaning, parking, security, and technology.
- Advising businesses on measures to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the facility and operations.
- Ensuring that basic facilities are well-maintained and conducting proactive maintenance/safety, making sure that facilities meet compliance standards and government regulations.
- Planning for the future by forecasting the facility’s upcoming needs and requirements.
- Overseeing any renovations, refurbishments and building projects.
- Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone to support the operational teams.
- Calculating customer quotations for work in progress.
- Traveling to OEM for PDI reviews and OEM training support training.
