Thursday – 8.00am - 4.30pm
Friday – 8:00am – 4pm (with 30mins lunch daily)

We are looking to recruit a Family Support Worker to join our passionate and progressive Inclusion Team, to work in conjunction with the senior leadership team to improve the attendance and engagement of targeted students by providing focused practical and emotional support to those with students and families with complex needs.

The Family Support Worker role involves building trusting professional relationships with the hardest to reach students and targeted families in order for them to overcome any challenges they face and with a view to re-engaging them with their education and break down barriers to attendance, engagement and to empower parents to support students at home and by maintaining contact with the most vulnerable students during non-term time; make phone calls, check ins, drop ins, home visits as necessary.
The successful candidate should be able to engage, motivate and support children, staff and parents.

This post will involve contact with vulnerable groups (children, young people and/or adults) and is therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (DBS) Disclosure check.
