Our client, based in the Carrickmore area, is widely respected as a leading company within their retail and home improvements sector. Due to ongoing expansion, they now wish to recruit a Showroom Sales Consultant to add to their successful team. This is a superb opportunity to work and train/learn with a growing company whilst taking on more and more sales duties as your experience grows.
As an in-house Sales Consultant, you will offer advice and expertise to both new homeowners and customers undergoing refits and refurbishments. You will also take responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the department.
SUMMARY OF KEY DUTIES- Convert retail customer account enquiries into successful, profitable sales.
- Follow up and convert sales enquiries and book potential new customers for initial consultative appointments in-store.
- Assist retail customers in product selections and complete sales orders.
- Support the company’s sales and marketing efforts to promote and sell the company’s services in local & regional private markets.
- Ensure the showroom is regularly stocked with samples.
- Process customers’ orders and ensure deliveries are scheduled on time and to required customer service standards.
- Send out marketing literature and follow up to maximise any potential opportunities.
- Gather customer information and process it onto the company CRM database.
- Deal with incoming enquiries and refer to Manager/Director as appropriate.
- Handle all telephone enquiries, take messages and redirect as necessary.
- Get involved in various social media campaign updates on Instagram, Facebook etc. to promote the business.
- A minimum of 1-2 years retail sales experience and office admin essential.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- A keen interest in design and a great eye for detail.
- Ideally will have a home décor or interior design background or strong interest.
- Enjoys giving customers advice on colours, patterns, styles etc. to help with their home improvement projects.
- Happy to work retail hours including Saturdays.
- Proven ability to convert consultations into sales.
A starting salary of £28,000 - £30,000 potential bonus will be on offer to the successful candidate. In addition, there will be the opportunity for career progression and future increases as the role develops.
