Our client, based in Carrickmore, is widely respected as a leading company within their home supplies sector. Due to ongoing expansion, they now wish to recruit an experienced, motivated and committed Counter Sales Person for their busy Plumbing and Bathroom Division. Main Duties
- Greeting and assisting trade and retail customers at the busy plumbing and bathroom counter.
- Providing expert advice on product selection, specifications, plumbing components, and bathroom designs.
- Processing customer orders , quotes, and transactions accurately using the internal computer system.
- Handling telephone enquiries , taking messages, and providing product availability or alternative solutions as required.
- Managing stock levels at the counter area and ensuring displays are kept clean, tidy, and well-presented.
- Following up on warm leads and quotes to convert potential enquiries into sales.
- Liaising with the warehouse and delivery teams to ensure customer orders are prepared and scheduled on time.
The Person
- A minimum of 1-2 years experience in trade counter sales, ideally within the plumbing, heating, or building supplies sector.
- Strong product knowledge of plumbing fittings, bathroom sanitaryware, and related hardware components.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Highly IT literate to easily manage stock systems, point-of-sale transactions, and order logs.
- Able to work on your own initiative in a fast-paced environment without the need for constant supervision.
- Good general standard of education to include GCSE English and Maths.
Salary
An attractive starting salary within the range of £28k - £30k per annum will be on offer to the successful candidate, based on experience and what you can bring to the role.
