What you'll be doing

To support the delivery of the social media strategy across Cotswold Outdoor, Runners Need and Snow+Rock, creating engaging social-first content, growing brand communities and helping to drive awareness, engagement and commercial performance.The Social Media Executive will play a key role in bringing each brand's personality to life across social channels, supporting content planning and delivery, content creation, community management, creator partnerships and performance reporting.This role requires a creative, organised and commercially minded individual who understands how social media can build brand affinity, inspire audiences and contribute to business growth, while confidently helping bring our brands to life through social-first content creation and on-camera participation where appropriate.

  • Support the day-to-day management of social media channels across Cotswold Outdoor, Runners Need and Snow+Rock, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Strava and emerging platforms.
  • Plan, create and publish engaging social-first content that aligns with brand objectives, audience interests and channel best practice, including filming and editing short-form video content using tools such as CapCut, Edits and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Capture and edit short-form video content for social platforms using mobile-first creation tools and professional editing software where appropriate.
  • Support the delivery of social campaigns, product launches, seasonal moments and key marketing activations across all three fascia.
  • Monitor and manage community engagement, responding to comments, messages and conversations in a timely and brand-appropriate manner.
  • Identify relevant social trends, cultural moments and platform opportunities, recommending ways for the fascia to participate authentically.
  • Support the management of brand ambassador, creator and influencer relationships, including content coordination, product seeding and campaign delivery.
  • Confidently participate in social content where appropriate, including presenting to camera, supporting product storytelling, interviewing ambassadors and helping bring each fascia's personality to life across social channels.
  • Work closely with internal teams including Brand, Retail Media, Ecommerce, Retail and Partnerships to ensure social activity supports wider business objectives.
  • Assist with content shoots, events, athlete activations and community experiences where required.
  • Working with the Social Media Manager to monitor competitor activity and industry developments, sharing insights and recommendations with the wider marketing team.
  • Support reporting on channel performance, campaign effectiveness and audience behaviour, helping identify opportunities for optimisation.
