Rushcliffe Care Group is a leading provider of high-quality nursing and specialist care services. Our mission is to deliver exceptional care to our service users, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Domestic Assistant to join our team, playing a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.

At Rushcliffe Care Group, we believe that a clean and comfortable environment is essential to the well-being of our service users. We are committed to providing exceptional care, and our Domestic Assistants are a key part of this mission. Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you will help ensure that our facilities are always kept to the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

Epinal Way Care Centre in Loughborough brings together three specialist units within one building: Matthews Neuro-Rehabilitation, Aarons Dementia, and The Hall Mental Health. Each unit provides focused support while sharing the wider resources of the centre. Matthews supports people with acquired or traumatic brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, and those requiring palliative care. Aarons is a nurse-led dementia unit for people with complex needs, offering a safe and therapeutic setting. The Hall provides care and support for individuals with long-standing mental health conditions, delivered in a structured and recovery-focused environment.

Our approach is person-centred and led by a skilled multi-disciplinary team, including nurses, therapists, psychology, and support staff. We focus on rehabilitation, positive engagement, and recovery, helping individuals achieve their potential and, where possible, move on to more independent settings.

The domestic team is operational from 09:00 to 19:00, with staff working 5-hour shifts within that period. Staff work on a fair rota system, planned four weeks in advance, to ensure balanced cover and consistent care across all three units.

As a Domestic Assistant at Rushcliffe Care Group, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the home/unit. Your key duties will include:

  • Cleaning and maintaining designated areas, including bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and kitchen spaces, to a high standard.
  • Following daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained.
  • Adhering to infection control policies, ensuring all cleaning products are used safely and in line with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
  • Reporting any hazards, damages, or maintenance needs to the Person in Charge.
  • Assisting with the laundering of service users' clothing and bedding as required.
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional relationship with residents, respecting their privacy and dignity at all times.
  • Working as part of the wider care team, helping to create a comfortable, welcoming, and safe environment for all residents and staff.

Shift patterns are on a rota basis 5/7 days.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong work ethic and the ability to carry out tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
  • A positive attitude towards health, safety, and hygiene, with a willingness to follow all necessary guidelines and regulations.
  • The ability to work as part of a team, with good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
  • Experience in a similar domestic or cleaning role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • A commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of our residents and staff.
  • Flexibility and reliability, with a good track record of punctuality and attendance.

If you are a hard-working, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, we would love to hear from you. Join the Rushcliffe Care Group and play an important role in providing exceptional care to our service users.
