About Rushcliffe Care Group

You will be joining Rushcliffe Care, a company with over 35 years of experience in offering the highest levels of care to our most vulnerable in society. Our core values, Reputable Care, Respect and Compassion, Robust Communication and Real Commitment, guide everything we do.

About Beaumanor Care Home

Beaumanor Care Home is a purpose-built nursing and residential service in Loughborough that supports up to 53 service users. The home offers a safe and welcoming environment with all-ensuite single rooms, many with patio access, spacious lounges, dining areas with canal views, a hair salon, accessible bathing facilities, lift access and well-kept gardens with sensory planting and quiet seating areas. The team focuses on person-centred care, working closely with local GPs and visiting professionals, including opticians, chiropodists and hairdressers. Regular activities, social interaction and individual support plans are in place to help people maintain dignity, independence and a good quality of life.

About the Role

We are looking for an Activities Coordinator who can plan and deliver a varied programme of individual and group activities that reflect the interests, preferences and abilities of our service users. The role includes both in-house activities and supporting people to access the community, such as local walks, café visits, shopping trips or larger planned outings. You will record activity participation, involve families where possible and help shape the overall experience of life in the home.

Key parts of the role include:

  • Planning daily activities tailored to each person
  • Organising internal and external events, including community outings and seasonal activities
  • Taking service users out into the community on a one to one or group basis, in line with risk assessments
  • Keeping accurate activity records and contributing to individual care plans
  • Supporting service user and relative meetings
  • Encouraging involvement from families, staff and the local community
  • Bringing new ideas from the quarterly Activity Coordinator Forum into the home
  • Promoting dignity, wellbeing and positive engagement at all times

About You

We are looking for someone who is caring, reliable and motivated to make a positive difference each day. Experience in care is welcome but not essential, as full training and shadowing will be provided. What matters most is that you are genuinely interested in supporting people to live well and enjoy meaningful activities.

You should:

  • Communicate clearly and work well as part of a team.
  • Be patient, understanding and respectful in all situations.
  • Be comfortable supporting service users both inside the home and out in the community.
  • Be organised, creative and able to plan activities that suit different needs and abilities.
  • Be confident encouraging engagement from people who may need reassurance or more tailored support.
  • Be flexible to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Demonstrate Rushcliffe Care’s values: Reputable Care, Respect and Compassion, Robust Communication and Real Commitment.

Join our team at Rushcliffe Care Group and help us continue to provide exceptional care and service to our residents.

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which is covered by Rushcliffe Care.
