About the Role
We are looking for an Activities Coordinator who can plan and deliver a varied programme of individual and group activities that reflect the interests, preferences and abilities of our service users. The role includes both in-house activities and supporting people to access the community, such as local walks, café visits, shopping trips or larger planned outings. You will record activity participation, involve families where possible and help shape the overall experience of life in the home.
Key parts of the role include:
- Planning daily activities tailored to each person
- Organising internal and external events, including community outings and seasonal activities
- Taking service users out into the community on a one to one or group basis, in line with risk assessments

- Encouraging involvement from families, staff and the local community
- Bringing new ideas from the quarterly Activity Coordinator Forum into the home
- Promoting dignity, wellbeing and positive engagement at all times
About You
We are looking for someone who is caring, reliable and motivated to make a positive difference each day. You should:
- Communicate clearly and work well as part of a team.
- Be patient, understanding and respectful in all situations.
- Be comfortable supporting service users both inside the home and out in the community.
- Be organised, creative and able to plan activities that suit different needs and abilities.
- Be confident encouraging engagement from people who may need reassurance or more tailored support.
- Be flexible to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Demonstrate Rushcliffe Care’s values: Reputable Care, Respect and Compassion, Robust Communication and Real Commitment.
