Across our services, we support people to live safer, more fulfilling lives, with dignity, choice, and consistency at the centre of everything we do. Our work is guided by clear values. These are not slogans. They shape how we treat people, how we work together, and what we expect from each other.
About Epinal Way Care Centre
Epinal Way Care Centre in Loughborough brings together three specialist units within one building: Matthews Neuro-Rehabilitation, Aarons Dementia, and The Hall Mental Health. Each unit provides focused support while sharing the wider resources of the centre. Matthews supports people with acquired or traumatic brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, and those requiring palliative care. Aarons is a nurse-led dementia unit for people with complex needs, providing a safe and therapeutic environment. The Hall supports individuals with long-standing mental health conditions, delivered in a structured and recovery-focused setting. Care is person-centred and delivered by a skilled multidisciplinary team, including nurses, therapists, psychology, and support staff. Clean, safe, and well-maintained environments are a key part of the care experience and play an important role in wellbeing and dignity.
About the Role
As an Evening Domestic/Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the service. This includes cleaning communal areas, corridors, offices, and other non-clinical spaces, in line with cleaning schedules and infection prevention requirements. You will work independently during evening hours, taking responsibility for completing tasks thoroughly and safely. Your role supports both service users and staff by helping to maintain a calm, clean, and well-organised environment. The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and an understanding that cleanliness directly impacts safety, dignity, and wellbeing.
What Our Values Mean in Practice
- Reputable Care: Maintaining consistent and high standards of cleanliness, following cleaning procedures correctly, and understanding the importance of infection control.
- Respect and Compassion: Working considerately around service users, respecting privacy, and taking pride in creating environments where people feel comfortable and respected.
- Robust Communication: Reporting issues promptly, raising concerns about cleanliness or safety, and communicating clearly with managers and colleagues.
- Real Commitment: Being dependable, arriving on time, completing tasks properly, and taking ownership of your role within the wider team.
About You
You do not need previous experience in a care setting, but experience in cleaning or domestic roles is helpful. More important is a strong work ethic and a responsible approach. You are someone who works well independently, follows instructions, and understands the importance of confidentiality and professional boundaries. You take pride in your work and notice when something is not right. You are reliable, consistent, and understand that your role contributes directly to the safety and wellbeing of others.
What We Offer
We provide a structured induction and role-specific training to ensure you are confident in your duties. You will have clear guidance, support from management, and access to ongoing supervision. There are opportunities to develop within Rushcliffe Care Group for those who wish to progress, with support available for training and development over time. All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which is covered by Rushcliffe Care.

We value diversity and are dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect, in line with the Equality Act. We encourage applications from all sections of the community, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation. Employment decisions are based on individual merit, qualifications, and the needs of the service. Some roles may have specific requirements, such as physical ability or effective communication in English, due to the nature of the care we provide. These requirements are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of our service users and are applied fairly and proportionately.
