Shifts: 40.00 hours per week (shift-based rota over 7 days including weekends and public holidays)

The Role Responsibilities
As a Support Worker at Rushcliffe Care Group, your primary responsibility will be to provide physical, social, and psychological care to our service users. You will work closely with healthcare team leaders to ensure the well-being and dignity of individuals we support. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Promoting the dignity and independence of individuals we support, considering their unique needs and backgrounds.
- Assisting with daily activities such as personal care, meal times, and social interactions, while encouraging freedom of choice.
- Participating in social activities, outings, and hobbies, helping to create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for those in our care.
- Providing emotional and psychological support through active listening, conversation, and 1-to-1 activities.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided and reporting any changes in a service user’s physical or emotional state.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both service users and staff.
- Undertaking training and development opportunities, including completing the Care Certificate within the probationary period.

About The Service
Matthews Neuro-Rehabilitation Specialist Unit is a 38 bedded unit offering a Multi-Disciplinary approach. We offer person-centred care and support for individuals with acquired and traumatic brain injury, progressive neurological conditions, spinal cord injuries and palliative care. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team including nursing, psychiatry, psychology, and allied health professionals, working together to deliver structured, recovery-focused care in a safe and therapeutic environment.
