About The Role
As a Hospital Administrator, your role is to provide an efficient, organised, and professional administrative service that supports the safe day-to-day running of the hospital. You will often be the first point of contact for visitors, professionals, and colleagues. This means handling enquiries, managing calls, maintaining records, supporting meetings, and assisting managers with documentation and reporting. Your work helps ensure information is accurate, confidential, and available when it is needed. You will work closely with the Hospital Manager and wider multidisciplinary team, balancing planned tasks with changing priorities, while maintaining a calm and professional approach at all times.
About You
You are organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy office environment. You understand the importance of confidentiality and accuracy, particularly within a healthcare setting. You communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, and you are confident using IT systems such as Microsoft Office. You are willing to ask questions, raise concerns, and adapt when priorities change. Previous administrative experience is important, but equally important is your approach. You take responsibility seriously, work well with others, and understand how your role supports safe care for service users.
What Our Values Mean In Practice
- Reputable Care: Maintaining accurate records and documentation at all times. Following procedures correctly, even when the workload is busy. Handling information responsibly to protect service users and the organisation.
- Respect and Compassion: Greeting visitors and colleagues professionally and courteously. Respecting confidentiality and personal information at all times. Supporting others with patience and understanding, particularly in sensitive situations.
- Robust Communication: Passing on messages clearly and promptly. Keeping managers informed of issues or risks. Recording information accurately so nothing important is missed.
- Real Commitment: Being reliable, punctual, and prepared for your shifts. Supporting colleagues when pressures increase. Taking pride in your role and contributing positively to the team.
