About the Role

As a Support Worker at Rushcliffe Care Group, your primary responsibility will be to provide physical, social, and psychological care to our service users. You will work closely with healthcare team leaders to ensure the well-being and dignity of individuals we support. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting the dignity and independence of individuals we support, taking into account their unique needs and backgrounds.
  • Assisting with daily activities such as personal care, meal times, and social interactions, while encouraging freedom of choice.
  • Participating in social activities, outings, and hobbies, helping to create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for those in our care.
  • Providing emotional and psychological support through active listening, conversation, and 1-to-1 activities.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided and reporting any changes in a service user’s physical or emotional state.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both service users and staff.
  • Undertaking training and development opportunities, including completing the Care Certificate within the probationary period.

About The Service

Castle Donington Nursing Home is a purpose built, dual registered care home for up to fifty individuals. Opened in 2003 and registered with the Care Quality Commission for personal and nursing care of individuals, including a specialist behavioural unit. At Castle Donington we have developed a diverse facility that not only meets health and physical care needs, but one that also nourishes, respects and supports social connections, individual identity and personal preferences and goals for service users. On our first floor 22 bedded specialist Unit, we provide a highly specialised service for service users who present with behaviours that challenge due to their primary diagnosis, whilst maintaining privacy and dignity within a tranquil supportive and safe environment.

What We Offer

We provide a structured induction and ongoing clinical support to ensure you are confident and effective in your role. You will receive supervision, training, and opportunities to develop within a growing service, including progression into leadership roles. You will be part of a new service where standards, culture, and practice are being actively shaped, giving you the opportunity to contribute and influence how the service develops.
