About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals working toward recovery from mental health conditions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Patient Support: Assisting patients with daily living activities to foster independence.
  • Therapeutic Engagement: Encouraging participation in therapeutic activities and social skills programmes that support personal growth.
  • Observation and Monitoring: Observing and documenting patients’ emotional and behavioural health, and communicating any changes to the nurse in charge.
  • Environment of Care: Contributing to a respectful, safe, and recovery-focused environment.
  • Crisis and Behaviour Management: Handling challenging behaviours calmly and professionally, supporting the safety and well-being of patients.
  • 2x 12 hour shifts over 7 days, days & nights.

About You

We are seeking individuals who share our commitment to providing respectful and compassionate care. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Qualifications: A minimum of Level 2 in Health & Social Care, or a willingness to work towards this qualification.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, patience, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of mental health conditions and recovery processes is advantageous.
