As Head Housekeeper with Rushcliffe Care Group, you will lead the housekeeping and laundry team to ensure the environment across the service remains clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times. Clean surroundings are essential to infection prevention, dignity, safety and the overall care experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the Housekeeping and Laundry team
  • Plan and oversee rotas to ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Monitor performance and address any concerns promptly
  • Ensure cleaning schedules are completed correctly and on time
  • Maintain stock control and order supplies within budget
  • Support infection control procedures, including high-risk or isolation cleaning where required
  • Report hazards, maintenance issues or compliance concerns
  • Provide supervision, guidance and ongoing support to team members

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will work alongside your team, carrying out cleaning duties yourself while setting the standard for quality and consistency. You will be responsible for making sure standards are maintained at all times and for supporting the team day-to-day.

About You

  • Experience in housekeeping, domestic or cleaning services, ideally within a regulated care environment.
  • Knowledge of infection prevention, COSHH and safe use of cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to manage rotas and stock, and to lead a team confidently.
  • Strong focus on standards, clear communication, and a willingness to work flexibly.

Each unit provides focused support while sharing the wider resources of the centre. Our care is person-centred and delivered by a multidisciplinary team. Clean, safe, and well-maintained environments are a key part of the care experience.
