As a Support Worker with Rushcliffe Care Group, you will be part of the team responsible for delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care. Your role will have a direct impact on the quality of life and outcomes for the service users you support.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide physical, social, and psychological care to our service users. You will work closely with healthcare team leaders to ensure the well-being and dignity of individuals we support. Your key responsibilities include:
- Promoting the dignity and independence of individuals we support, taking into account their unique needs and backgrounds.
- Assisting with daily activities such as personal care, meal times, and social interactions, while encouraging freedom of choice.
- Participating in social activities, outings, and hobbies, helping to create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for those in our care.
- Providing emotional and psychological support through active listening, conversation, and 1-to-1 activities.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided and reporting any changes in a service user's physical or emotional state.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both service users and staff.
- Undertaking training and development opportunities, including completing the Care Certificate within the probationary period.
You have a valid driving licence due to the location of this role. You have QCF/NVQ level 2, are working towards this or are willing to enrol onto this. You are registered or are willing to register with Social Care Wales.
Queens Care Home is a 4-bedded service that provides step-down and rehabilitation within a clinical care pathway based upon individuals' needs which promotes recovery and progress. Queens offer support to men with mental health needs, autistic spectrum conditions, and learning disabilities including those with a forensic history. Our service users may be subject to The Mental Health Act (1983) relating to discharge, aftercare and supervision.
We provide a structured induction and ongoing clinical support to ensure you are confident and effective in your role. You will receive supervision, training, and opportunities to develop within a growing service, including progression into leadership roles. You will be part of a new service where standards, culture, and practice are being actively shaped, giving you the opportunity to contribute and influence how the service develops.
All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which is covered by Rushcliffe Care.
