About Rushcliffe Care Group

You will be joining Rushcliffe Care, a company with over 35 years of experience in offering the highest levels of care to our most vulnerable in society. Across our services, we support people to live safer, more fulfilling lives, with dignity, choice, and consistency at the centre of everything we do. Our work is guided by clear values. These are not slogans. They shape how we treat people, how we work together, and what we expect from each other.

About the Role

As a housekeeper, your role is focused on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the service, helping to ensure the environment is safe, comfortable, and appropriate for people receiving care, as well as staff and visitors. On a typical shift, you will clean communal areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and other areas of the hospital, following agreed cleaning schedules and infection prevention guidance. Your work supports dignity, safety, and wellbeing on a daily basis. You will work as part of a wider team, following guidance and procedures, and raising any concerns where cleanliness, safety, or standards may be affected. Rotas are issued fairly and in advance.

About You

You do not need previous experience in a care or hospital environment, but you do need the right approach. We are looking for people who take responsibility seriously and understand that maintaining a clean environment makes a real difference. You are reliable, follow guidance and procedures, and take pride in your work. You are comfortable working alongside others and communicating clearly with colleagues and managers, and you are willing to raise concerns when something is not right. You are open to learning, accepting feedback, and developing your skills over time. Full training and support will be provided.

What Our Values Mean in Practice

  • Reputable Care: Following cleaning schedules and infection prevention guidance correctly. Using equipment and cleaning products safely and as trained. Taking time to complete tasks properly, even when the service is busy.
  • Respect and Compassion: Being mindful that you are working in people’s living and care environment. Respecting privacy and dignity at all times. Treating people with courtesy, patience, and consideration.
  • Robust Communication: Reporting issues or concerns promptly. Communicating clearly with colleagues and managers. Recording tasks accurately where required.
  • Real Commitment: Arriving on time and being ready to work. Supporting colleagues when workloads increase. Taking feedback on board and using it to improve standards.
