Salary: £28,512 - £44,412 per annum

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Borough hosts major sporting facilities including Nottingham Forest football ground, Trent Bridge Cricket ground and Holme Pierrepont water sports centre. Our Planning and Growth team handles development proposals ranging from householder extensions to major housing and commercial schemes, with considerable interest from national housebuilders.

The Role: You will join our Planning and Growth team, managing your own caseload of enforcement investigations while protecting the character of the district. Day to day, you will deal with a variety of enforcement cases, completing investigations within the timelines set out in our Planning Enforcement Policy. You will have opportunities to work on interesting and potentially significant enforcement investigations, working both flexibly from home and from our modern office at Rushcliffe Arena in West Bridgford.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage your own caseload of enforcement investigations
  • Conduct investigations and deal with a range of planning enforcement cases
  • Protect the character and integrity of the district through effective enforcement action
  • Ensure investigations are completed within agreed timelines and policies
  • Communicate and negotiate with stakeholders throughout the enforcement process

You:

  • Expertise and knowledge in town planning and planning enforcement
  • Well organised with strong communication and negotiating skills
  • Highly motivated with a wide range of experience across the planning enforcement process
  • Able to manage your workload independently and prioritise effectively
