Finance Business Partner - The Role:
You will deliver financial support during a period of significant change and reorganisation, maintaining business-as-usual operations while helping shape the Council's sustainable financial future. Working across priority areas including capital investment, procurement and contract management, you will remain flexible to respond to evolving demands and provide cover where capacity is stretched. You will work with senior stakeholders to ensure financial sustainability and compliance across the organisation.
Finance Business Partner - Key Responsibilities:
- Support capital investment and procurement and contract management activities
- Provide financial planning and budget management expertise to support service delivery
- Work with senior stakeholders to ensure financial sustainability and compliance
- Respond flexibly to changing demands arising from Local Government Reorganisation
- Provide cover in areas of stretched capacity as needed
Finance Business Partner - You:
- Strong financial planning and budget management skills with experience in public sector finance
- CCAB qualified or AAT with significant post qualification experience in a local government finance environment
- Confidence in supporting organisational change and reorganisation
- Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders across the Council
- Flexible approach to changing demands and evolving priorities
